1st Letter Home (April 6, 2012)

MAMMA :)
Hey mom, I think about you and miss you too, and the family a whole lot. But I absolutely love it here. The spirit is soo strong and I'm able to only focus on what I"m supposed to be doing. The language is hard, but I've already learned how to greet people, say a prayer, share a scripture and bare a simple testimony. The Lord will definately be the reason that I learn the Language. The first couple days are a little overwhelming with just learning everything that you are supposed to do, and to get into the rhythm of things.  I Have two companions who are awesome. One of them is Elder Fatani, from New Zealand. He is also the District Leader, we get a long great. He's a funny dude. I've also got Elder Minson, who is a red hed form Riverton Utah. He's a cool cat. ha. My District is so stinking sweet! We bonded like two ionic elements. That's okay, I left it there on purpose ;)... They gave me another one here! And a whole ton of language learning materials. I Taught my first lesson in Tagalog Yesterday. It was actually cool. Elder Fatanin Said the Openning prayer, I shared a scripture and bore my testimony that the book of mormon was true, and that Jesus Christ Lives. I love this gospel mom. They've got big plans for easter Sunday. Three General authorities are coming to talk to us, and we are having a combines sacrament meeting with the whole of the MTC. I'll be singing with the choir. :). Food here gives me gas... ha but that's nothing new. I sleep on the top bunk, which is nice. I still ave the mini-plaque that says "Our family is a circle of love and friendship". I think I brought too much clothes, would it be alright if I send a Package of some things that I don't need? By the way, I got the easter package yesterday, and a couple letters from Bishop, Lacey and Dad. THANK YOU SOO MUCH!! I love the package, and the beautiful note. Easter gives us a wonderful opportunity to remember. But what we remember on easter is something that should be remembered every day of our lives, the Atonement of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is absolutely paramount in all that we do.
ama ko po na totoo po ang ebanghelyo at buhay si Jesucristo.
Things are moving. The gospel is rolling forth, and will continue to grow until it has sounded in every ear, visited every continent, swept every clime until our savior comes in great glory. I look forward to that day, when we will all be together embracing His love. Morni 7:47-48!
Peace and Love!
Elder Blackham
